Affiliate Disclosure

Effective: July 6, 2026

Some links on MyPlann are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you. That's the whole story.

What an affiliate link is

An affiliate link is a special tracking link. When you use it to buy a product, the retailer — such as The Home Depot or Amazon — pays us a small percentage of the sale. You pay exactly the same price you would have paid anyway. The commission comes out of the retailer's end, not your pocket.

These commissions help support the research, writing, and hands-on testing that go into MyPlann.

Our promise

We only recommend gear we have actually used. If you see us suggest a product, it earned a place in our own household's preparedness — not because it pays the most. A commission never changes what we recommend, what we say about it, or the honest caveats we include. If something has a downside, we tell you.

Programs we participate in

MyPlann participates in affiliate programs including:

We may add others over time. This page will always reflect how MyPlann is funded.

No cost, no obligation

You never have to use our links, and you never pay more for doing so. If you'd rather search for a product on your own, that's completely fine — the recommendation is the useful part, and it's yours to keep either way.
